The social center for people of the advanced age called УParental HomeФ was created in 2000. The founders and chiefs of the center are Larisa Chepenko and Vladimir Masytchev.
"Parenal Home" is a complex of new modern buildings situated in the village Siversky of the Leningrad region on the bank of Oredezh River.
Siversky was first mentioned in Novgorod chronicle in 1499. The village reached its heyday in the end of 19th century - beginning of the 20th century when the countryside deservedly got the status of villatic capital of Russia. The village Siversky is 67 kilometers away from Saint-Petersburg and is one of the highest villatic places around St.-Petersburg. It is situated 102,41 meters above the Baltic Sea. It attracts people with its pure air, greenery, silence, inimitable beauty of the banks of Oredezh River, and with baring of red devonian sands.

The region of Siversky is full of springs. They were first examined in the end of 19th century by a famous Saint-Petersburg doctor, professor A.V. Pel. He ostended the bactericidal characteristics of the local springs and its conducive influence of people. ThatТs why throughout the history of Siversky there was never any registered cases of epidemical illnesses. Later on, in the beginning of the 20th century it was proved that the water from Siversky springs is close by its content to a chlorous-sodium-calcium water. Altogether, there are about 10 curative springs in Siversky. ThatТs why the Siversky region is often called Russian Switzerland.

The buildings† of the center are connected with each other by winter gallery. The center is ready to accept around 80 people in its single, double and triple rooms. The staff of the center consists of highly qualified personnel trained in Saint-Petersburg geriatric center. Some of them passed probation in Sweden and some in Finland. The personnel perfectly possess acquirements for serving people, who are partly or fully disabled.

• The center is tooled up with modern equipment for care and rehabilitation of old people.
• Center provides consultations of medical worker of different spheres who work in the medical center of the Leningrad region and also professors and educators who teach in the main medical clinics of Saint-Petersburg.
• One of the peculiarities of the center is that it has a social service which provides legal consultations, cooking and delivery of meals to personТs house, sanitary hygiene services etc.
• Center has its own laundry and also provides the following services: massage, sauna, barbershop etc.
• Center has a possibility to provide everyone high-calorie meals 5-6 times a day, diet meals according to the prescription of a nutritionist; itТs possible to work out an individual menu considering the specifics of the illness.
• There is a group of specialists working in the center who explore a problem of diabetes, longevity and prevention of a premature senescence.
• In the center you can buy all the necessary things for taking care for old people and also take part in training about how to use them.
